Apesar do céu acinzentado que teimava em não mudar, a
noite do último sábado (21 de abril) foi digna de comemoração ao Heavy Metal. A
casa de shows Studio B abrigou o evento Smash Metal, o qual tinha a chamada do
lançamento do EP da banda anfitriã, o Steel Wölf.
O público compareceu em número respeitoso, agitando
bastante quando o Atomic Thrash começou o seu show. A banda mandou muito bem
suas músicas, bem como os tributos ao Metallica e Slayer. Conseguiu captar bastante
a atenção da galera na abertura do evento.
A banda seguinte, Gates Of Purgatory, trouxe clássicos do
Iron Maiden, levando a galera ao delírio. Já passava de 1h00 enquanto eles
mandavam as riffadas em tributo ao nome mais famoso do Heavy Metal. A banda
também levou “Carry On” do Angra, angariando mais respeito do público.
Enfim o Steel Wölf. Apesar de todo o aparato que a banda
levou e fez para o público, já era bem tarde quando o quarteto subiu ao palco. Boa
parte da galera já havia se retirado do recinto, deixando um repertório cheio
de canções do Judas Priest imiscuído com canções da própria banda de lado. O
Steel Wölf ainda fez uma surpresa para o público, mandando “Tornado Of Souls”
do Megadeth, apenas instrumental, com a participação de Bruno da banda Atomic
Thrash. O show transcorreu sem quaisquer problemas, terminando após às 4 da
manhã.
A banda volta a se apresentar no próximo dia 12 de Maio
em Itaipuaçu, Maricá-RJ e 13 de Maio no Steel Fest, em Trindade, São Gonçalo-RJ.
Despite
the gray sky which stubbornly refused to change, the Saturday night (April 21)
was worthy of celebration to Heavy Metal. Live House Studio B hosted the event
Smash Metal, which was called the release of the EP the band host, Steel Wölf.
The
public turned out in numbers respectful, very stirring when the Atomic Thrash
began his show. The band let great songs, as well as tributes to Metallica and
Slayer. Has captured much attention of the crowd at the opening of the event.
The next
band, Gates Of Purgatory, brought classics from Iron Maiden, bringing the crowd
to frenzy. It was after 1:00 a.m. while they sent their riffadas in tribute to
the most famous name in heavy metal. The band also took "Carry On"
Angra, gaining more respect from the public.
Finally
the Steel Wölf. Despite all the stuff that made the band and led to the
public, it was very late when the quartet took the stage. Much of the crowd had
already left the room, leaving a repertoire of songs from Judas Priest with
songs from the band. Steel Wöl has made a surprise for the audience, playing
"Tornado Of Souls" Megadeth, only instrumental, with the
participation of Bruno, guitarrist from Atomic Thrash. The show went on without
any problems, finishing after at 4:00 a.m.
The band
are coming back in May 12th in Itaipuaçu, Maricá, RJ and May 13 in Steel Fest
in Trindade, São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro.
